After School Snacking For Busy Kids

We are happy to partner with Danimals® on this post, all opinions are our own.

My seven year old is always on the go. From the moment she was born she’s been my busy one. Before I had kids other moms would tell me about their busy little ones, they’d tell me about the way their little one got into something or how they were just always on the go. I didn’t realize that by busy they also meant mischievous. It’s the story about my now seven year old dumping out a whole bottle of bubble bath on the carpet and when we went to steam clean the carpet we ended up with bubbles all over the hallway. We call her busy and by busy we really mean that she also gets into a lot of things.

Lets face it, busy kids get hungry.  When my girls get home from school they are always so hungry it’s almost as if they hadn’t eaten at all during the day. It’s important to me that I’m feeding them foods that are going to help fuel them through their after school activities.

Shopping for a large family means we have a budget. You can find great deals on some of our favorite after school snacks like Danimals® Smoothies at Walmart. I like that I can buy them in 12 or 18 packs so we can stay stocked up, which makes these also ideal for lunches.

What my kids love about Danimals Smoothies is that they’re a great tasting drink that goes well with just about anything. They have calcium and Vitamin D, to help kids build strong bones and contain no High Fructose Corn Syrup and no artificial colors or flavors. It means they’re a snack my kids love and I can feel good about too!

Besides after school snacks they’re also a lunchbox favorite and my girls always think the containers are a lot of fun too!

Right now if you shop for Danimals Smoothies at Walmart you can save with this exclusive coupon.

I love those cute little containers. I can find ways to upcycle them into something else. But of course, the most important thing is that Danimals smoothies are a great, healthy snack for the kids.

My son is one of those who will eat anything, especially hot pockets or fried cheese sticks, even a whole pizza for an after school *snack*. String cheese, fresh fruits, and dried fruits and nuts are other favorites.
