Hillshire Farm Naturals™ Turkey & Cheese Pocket Pie

This post is brought to you by Hillshire Farm.
free fall bucket list printableIt’s fall which means it’s time to break out the blankets, hit the pumpkin patch for pumpkins and cozy up with our favorite things. It’s that time of year when the air is crisp so you want warm meals and it seems like everything you want involves a cinnamon and spice mixture. Our family favorite are picket pies!

To get your fall started I wanted to inspire you with this Free Fall Bucket List Printable. It has some fun ideas and will get you inspired to get out and spend time with your family this fall.  One thing that makes Halloween special for our family is our Hillshire Farm Mummy Dogs and just in time for fall lunch boxes Hillshire Farm has introduced it’s new line of lunch meats, Hillshire Farm Naturals™1

I want to have fun and get into the fun fall season and that includes my kiddos lunch box. There’s nothing like warm pie on a cool fall day so inspired by all the pies to come I wanted to turn my kids favorite turkey and cheese sandwiches into a flavorful meal for lunch.

To get started I used a basic pie dough that you roll out and can easily cut into pumpkin shapes. hillshire farm natural pie pockets

I also used the Hillshire Farm Natural Turkey and cut into the same pumpkin shape.

The first step is to cut a face into the pie dough for your pumpkin face. The top with cheese. hillshire farm natural pie pockets

Add the lunch meat then top with another pumpkin shaped pie dough.  hillshire farm natural pie pockets

You will notice the cut the bottom of the cheese and lunch meat. This allows extra room for the pie dough to be pushed together for a close seal. hillshire farm natural pie pockets

Use a fork around the outer edge to seal together.

Preheat oven to 425 degrees hillshire farm natural pie pockets

Bake at 425 for 14 minutes until golden brown. Some cheese will bubble over the top. hillshire farm natural pie pockets

Since these are great for a lunch box I served the turkey and cheese pumpkin shaped pocket pies with a fun vegetable salad and orange. I use the olive to make eyes with the radishes cut in half. A mini green squash is the perfect finger food!  hillshire farm natural pie pockets

Creating a lunch for your kids can be fun and exciting and the new line of premium quality lunch meat is slow roasted and perfectly seasoned, with no artificial ingredients or preservatives, and offers the same great taste and flavor that consumers have come to expect from Hillshire Farm.

Hillshire Farm Naturals is available in four varieties, including Slow Roasted Turkey Breast, Hardwood Smoked Turkey Breast, Honey Roasted Ham, and Black Forest Ham. Hillshire Farm Naturals contain no artificial ingredients, preservatives, colors or added nitrites/nitrates.  It’s a product us moms can feel great putting in our kids lunches and tastes great in these pocket pies! hillshire farm pocket pies hillshire farm pocket pies

This is such a clever idea! We don’t have any kiddos, but I’ll be using this for my Halloween party. I can’t do gross foods, like fingers and eyeballs, so this will fit perfectly!
