The New Vtech InnoTab 3S Wi-Fi Learning Tablet – Review & Giveaway

VTECH Innotab 3 (3)

The Vtech InnoTab 3S Wi-Fi Wireless Learning Tablet is the newest product from the Vtech line of portable entertainment and gaming. This handheld gaming system is fun for our 4 year old and also our 8 year old and is designed for kids ages 3-9 years old! Its kid safe with its protective rubber case and has everything the need to keep them busy and having fun without eating through batteries!!

Brooklin seems to have more fun playing with all the features like the calender and clock, which is a great way for her to learn about dates and time. She is all into numbers and comprehending time right now so counting numbers and playing with a calender is beneficial to her. Plus the new InnoTab 3S is faster than its old counterparts which is great for the multiple apps that are available plus it comes loaded with things to-do and play plus it still accepts game cartridges. Brooklin enjoys jumping around and learning what everything means.

VTECH Innotab 3 (5)But like the original Vtech InnoTab systems the new InnoTab 3S is designed for games but with the 20 apps included like an MP3 player with playlist, the calender, clock, notepad, e-reader, movie maker (available separately through the Deluxe Apps package) and so much more, the new InnoTab 3S has a lot to offer in its kid-safe and friendly design.

Here is Brooklin at work on the paint and drawing program. She has so much fun with drawing because its easy to start a new one and draw and use different premade installed images.

IT01_00013

Brooklin likes the fact she has her own tablet now. It is good because she is not quite old enough to use a tablet properly without getting confused and eventually giving up even trying to use any tablets which is good for us all! The InnoTab 3S has different profiles to set which lets us put a profile up for each kid.

VTECH Innotab 3 (4)

Brooklin has fun and she is able to bring her games over from her old Vtech InnoTab gaming systems making this great for previous system owners. The bright new screen lets Brooklin play her game in different lighting, indoors and out.

VTECH Innotab 3 (1)

The new InnoTab 3S has much more to offer with its built in Wi-fi. Being connected to an internet connection allows games and apps to be downloaded directly to the machine and the new Kids Connect Premium-Exchange (available seperately) allows parents and kids to exchange voice messages, texts, photos, drawing and fun stickers.

Brooklin also has her own video camera and still photo camera which is so much fun to her. Now she can follow around her mom and older sister and begin to work  on her eye for pictures. It is also a great way to get her to pay attention to nature and how it changes by taking pictures and video and comparing, plus gives her some objectives to keep her busy. Plus she can edit her pictures and have fun with them!

VTECH Innotab 3 (2)

Brooklin can browse the web of age-appropriate websites approved by Vtech’s educational experts like Wacky Web Tales and Sports Illustrated Kids and we can approve other websites that we think are ok for her to see which is great! We dont let her play wih our smartphone, not just because its a very expensive device, but its easy to access content she doesnt need to access.

The Make a Wish app that lets kids explore hundreds of games, e-books, videos, music and make a list of them to send to mom and dad and if we approve, the apps are downloaded right onto her InnoTab 3S.

Another great benefit is a rechargeble battery pack. Its great not having to use batteries all the time. What is also great is the rechargeable battery packs are removable allowing the use of regular 4x AA batteries for times with not power source.

Vtech InnoTab 3S Battery Pack

Kaila actually even enjoys playing making it a versatile system for more than just 1 kid!

The Vtech InnoTab 3S  would make a great holiday gift this season and is on my top picks for parents list! Kiddos are going to love it! Be sure to connect with Vtech on Twitter and Facebook!

After her father’s tragic death 3 yrs ago I have tried to be a good role model for her and do the best I can to help out wither and get her educational toys and things that I know will help get her ready for school etc since her mom is now a single parent and it is hard being one of those I know that first hand because I dealt with that similar situation when my daughters where little so Maddie is 5 yrs old and this would be great for her. Even if I don’t win would love to know where I might be able to get one for her for the holidays. Thanks so much for the opportunity and info.

  82. Eileen Richter on October 9, 2013 at 3:57 am

My favorite feature is being able to connect by wifi with parents (androids) or even older sibs. Sharing photos or drawings. With technology so advanced I think kids are being left out, as unfortunately teens and adults lose themselves within it all. Kids can now join in some of the tech age. I hope though that inviting kids in does not let them lose their need for face to face communication and NON tech fun.

My grand daughter would love to have the Hello Kitty game option. My little granddaughter, almost two, is a Micky Mouse fan extraordinaire! She’d love that one too!

    thanks!
