Back To School Mishaps To Avoid #BacktoSchoolwithBSK

As my girls will be getting ready to head back to school I am reminded of all of the years past. From their first day of day school, Kindergarten and even heading into third grade there are some lessons I’ve learned throughout the years. I remember walked into her first year of school and being totally unprepared. Lets just say she lost quite a few items because mommy didn’t properly label it or the time she brought home another child’s jacket and I didn’t notice until that next day.

Easy Back To School Mishaps To Avoid

  • Lost and Found – Avoid the dreaded lost and found for good by properly labeling your child’s school items. Pencils, books, clothing, jackets, and other school supplies can easily be labeled with Bright Star Kids name labels. You can get a wide range of Name Labels from only $12.95, perfect for labeling all your kids belongings. You can find adorable bag tags too so those backpacks don’t end up lost!
  • The Looks – My girls always get some fresh new clothes to avoid any fashion mishaps. Same goes for freshly cut hair so they can start off the school year fresh and confidant. Allow kiddos to pick out their own outfits so you can easily avoid the “I don’t want to wear this” fight in the morning. Also do buy new socks and unders – out with the old and in with the new plus new shoes look horrible with old grungy summer socks!!
  • Routine – The most important thing about parenting small school aged children is consistency and routine. Discuss what will be happening and go over where you will pick up and drop off your child to avoid any after school confusion. Having prepared them ahead of time they will easily and effortlessly find their way back home after school.
  • Prepare – We all forget we have no cheese left for thee turkey sandwiches at lunchtime so be prepared. Stock up on all the things you need ahead of school, plenty of juice boxes and healthy snacks and if ever in doubt just send the pb&j! Do also grab your schools supply list and check those items off too!!

With Brooklin going into preschool it is especially important for me to label her items and as we head into the colder months labeling sweaters and jackets are a must! With something as simple as a small name label you can avoid the lost and found and easily have your child locate and find their own things. A product like Bright Star Kids name labels is so helpful for moms like me. By having our girls label their things it also helps them avoid fighting about who’s things are whose.

You can purchase a kit like the school labels value kit and it comes with everything you need. Ordering and fully customizing your name labels is also easy and I found designs that both my kiddos would really enjoy! I really like how personalized their are and how they fit my child’s personality or sense of style.

Bright Star Kids creates two main types of labels – stick-on and iron-on. The stick-on labels are incredibly  durable, so they’ll withstand the wear and tear of dishwashers. Perfect for those water bottles or cups!  They’ll stick to most kinds of plastics and will stay stuck for years. When you’re ready to remove them, simply peel off and no residue will be left behind.  The iron-on labels are quick and easy to pop on to all your kids clothing. They will stay stuck in the toughest washing machine and clothes dryer cycle, and will still look great in years to come.
