3 Takeaways From Cardio Dance With Reebok At #Fitbloggin

When I first walked into Fitbloggin I didn’t know what to expect. The schedule said Cardio Dance With Reebok and being the Zumba loving dancer that I am I was all in for a challenge. When the class started I was still nervous, here I am about to do cardio dance in a room full of other like minded people.

When the instructor Patricia Moreno started the class out by telling us all a little about herself and how she came up with intenSati.

THE PRACTICE OF LIVING A SATI LIFE

Sati means mindfulness, a state of awareness without judgment. When you are living a Sati Life, you  are aware that you have the power to CHOOSE to live a life that you love. You are intentionally developing the courage, awareness and self- discipline to make choices that benefit yourself and the world.

Sati Life was developed by Patricia Moreno for anyone and everyone looking to become more aware of their thoughts, words, attitudes and actions. Initially, the focus was centered around “intenSati”, a workout that was created to bring mindfulness to a cardio-based fitness class. Since the fist intenSati class in 2005, Sati Life has grown to include several other workouts, an education and training-based Institute, and a world-wide  community of people committed to amplifying peace, love, gratitude and faith.

 

 

So we started dancing and chanting and before I knew it my heart was radiating with happiness. In fact, the entire day I could hear myself saying “I am powerful beyond measure. I am stronger than I seem. I am braver then I think. Blessed with all I need” My mind felt powerful but so did my body. Patricia said at the start of the class that miracles would happen and inside me I could feel it.

3 Things I Learned From  Zumba

  • Complaints – When we fill our head with complaints it blocks the positive energy from getting in. I’ve really challenged myself to complain less and really embrace the happiness in my life. I’m also challenging my children to complain less so they can find more joy in the moments in their life. 
  • Self Love – I’m at a point in my life where all I want is to find bliss in the moments that I am here. The moments I spend with my children. My husband. My colleagues and my friends. I know that by loving myself and telling myself that I am powerful. I am braver than I think and that I am blessed with all that I need that I am giving myself that power to be in charge of my life.  I know that when I do the things that make me happiest be it running, or dancing, or just laughing at the park with my children when I first love myself I can better give every situation that I am in the best of me. I have let go of the self doubt and fear.
  • Warrior – I’m not going to tell you my journey to better health and fitness is over, it’s just that a journey. Feeling powerful and beautiful and brave and can now push forward. I will keep running and dancing and somehow with every breath and every promise to myself I will take intenSati with me.

 

So love yourself, radiate positive energy and always know that you are worth every breath you take from this moment forward. 

My life will never be the same.
