My kids are SUPER active in any activities or sports like UFC and gymnastics or wrestling are some of their favorites. One factor that both of these activities have in typical is the need for a smooth position to area. We lately modified our garage space into a mat space so that the kids would have a secure home to exercise. I believe these mats did the trick and not to mention getting a great deal for less on it is quite a big help for me…

It’s so important to provide a safe environment for kids to practice their gymnastics, tumbling, wrestling, what-have-you. These look like a handy, convenient option. I think they would be good for certain activities and skill level, but depending on how they are used, skill level, etc., I think additional padding could be necessary to help provide additional safety. My son is in wrestling and my daughter is in gymnastics, and this is what I use: http://www.rolloutmat.com

It claims to be the thickest home mat on the market. Again, depending on the skill level (and the need for additional padding for safety), I would certainly recommend this as an alternative. At the end of the day, it’s about providing a safe environment for kids to practice what they enjoy. Thanks for writing about this topic.
