A new matchmaking enterprise is drawing attention throughout California. The Table for Sixintroduction service is a unique concept which brings together individuals who share educational backgrounds, professional interests and a shared passion for meeting like-minded people in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Table for Six is considered a “dating” group though in truth, the opportunities for meeting a potential partner parallel the chance to enjoy a casual dinner engagement with five other lively and companionable individuals.
Table for Six is located in communities throughout California including San Francisco, Mountain View, San Jose, Walnut Creek, Los Angeles, Irvine/Orange County and Sacramento. It is open to singles who are interested in meeting other people in their community for friendship, dating or possibly for a long-term relationship. Each dinner is comprised of six people who match each other in age, background and interests. The dinners are scheduled in central locations and at moderately-priced eateries for participants’ comfort and convenience. Each dinner engagement is comprised of three women and three men.
An important feature of Table for Six is the active presence of a professional matchmaker who interviews each participant to assess the person’s core values and long-term aspirations. This interview forms the basis of the participant’s Core Personality Profile which gives the matchmaker the tools to create a dinner-date in which the six participants will find shared interests and life goals.
Another aspect of Table for Six is the follow-up process. After each date the participants consult with their personal matchmaker to review their dinner experience. The discussion can help participants better define their dating goals, discuss how to develop their interpersonal skills and move towards a healthy relationship with a suitable partner. The matchmaker can also use these sessions to further budding relationships between dinner companions who express interest in each other. I have not tried this myself but there seem to be plenty of positive Table for Six reviews out there.
